Mazoon Electricity Company Awarded Gcc Recognition For Its Commitment To Job Nationalization
Muscat, October 6th 2012 Committed to building the capabilities of local talent to lead the utilities sector, Mazoon Electricity Company S.A.O.C (MZEC) was recently recognized for its job nationalization efforts which have enabled the company to maintain a high Omanization rate of 98% while adopting a wide and comprehensive range of recruitment and development programs. The accolade was awarded during a ceremony held in honor of the 29th Session of the Council of Labor Ministers of the GCC in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The award aims to encourage private sector companies across the GCC to reinforce their efforts in providing enriching job opportunities for nationals and ensuring that local expertise is cultivated to generate further growth and prosperity. Eng. Zahir Al Abri, General Manger of MZEC received the award on behalf of the company and expressed his gratitude for the recognition. The region wide honor and distinction is the second this year in MZEC’s growing track-record following the GCC HR Excellence Award for Best Training Strategy awarded in May 2012.
