EHC Group announces the Second Annual Conference (Musharka)
The Knowledge Sharing Conference, to be hosted and presented by the Electricity Holding Group (EH Group) on the 3-4 November at Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, was officially launched at a press conference at Crowne Plaza Hotel - Muscat on the 25th June 2014. The press conference was led by Eng. Omar bin Khalfan Al Wahaibi, CEO - Electricity Holding Company (EHC), and Conference Chairman, Eng. Zahir bin Abdullah Al Abri, CEO - Mazoon Electricity Company, and Ghada bint Mohammed Al Yousef, Executive Manager – Group Communications and Sustainability, EHC.
The press conference started off with an introduction by Eng. Omar Al Wahaibi, during which he expressed the importance of this annual event which provides key stakeholders an opportunity to share knowledge and best practice, “After the successful launch of the first conference in 2013, we would like to invite all our strategic partners and suppliers to join and support us in this learning environment to achieve our strategic objectives. The Conference’s program will highlight the latest developments and review new business development ideas that can enable a successful stakeholder engagement and collaboration.”
Eng. Zahir Al Abri added, “The Communications Program is an enabler of the Electricity Holding Group’s Strategy, and with the successful launch of the Knowledge Sharing Conference last year, the team has further developed the conference and will organize a series of business development workshops in which decisions makers, strategic partners and industry experts will be invited to join and discuss the new ideas presented by EH Group staff.”
Ghada Al Yousef presented an overview of the program of the second Knowledge Sharing Conference which will be officially inaugurated by a Chief Guest at an exclusive Opening Ceremony on the 2nd November 2014, and then followed with a program that will feature a number of internal speakers and utility industry experts in addition to a series of “Afkar” workshops which will be designed according to the needs of each strategic program.
The first day of the Conference will feature the top five speakers in EH Group who will be undergoing an evaluation by a group of industry experts during the coming months. Additionally, the conference committee will be inviting a number of local and international speakers that will share best practice in all five strategic program: Human Resources, Customer Services, Asset Management, HSE, Communications and Sustainability.
The second day will feature “Afkar” workshops which will be attended by a number of staff, experts and advisers in the local and international utility industry. “Afkar” will cover business development ideas produced by EH Group staff for the purpose of realizing new or more benefits from the existing strategic program or any new proposals that can support the Group in building on past experiences.
